Hello again from the studio!

Thank you all very much for listening and contacting me. Feedback I get on the show so far is really good and I'm kinda surprised about who is texting in, sending me messages and, indeed, is listening to my show so far.

This week's Rocky Road Show Track of the Week featured Hey Joe by The Jimi Hendrix Experience and of course, this one will enter the Rocky Road Show Hall of Fame which will be online as soon as I get to set it up. Voting for the next Track of the week has opened on purefm.geng.co.uk.

So tonight saw Portsmouth host Birmingham, in a Premier League game, a re-match of the F.A Cup Quarter Final that took place just days earlier.

Birmingham got their revenge, and Portsmouth took another backwards step towards relegation. To summarise the game, Birmingham were awful, but Portsmouth were a lot worse. The players that can take credit are Jamie O’Hara (who can be excused for a slightly quieter second half, as he did just about everything in the first half). Steve Finnan proved that he is still a player that can handle himself at the top level. But in what I can only describe as one of the worst 45-minute performances I have ever witnessed, ex Manchester United midfielder Danny Webber, was simply atrocious.

In a way, I don’t want to dwell on the dynamics of this particular match too much, but instead talk about the spirit, the patience and the desire being shown by many people involved in Portsmouth Football Club.

Hey again folks!

After a short brake this week the Show for the first time took place in the new studios. As if that wasn't enough for the first time (in two shows until now...) I was able to welcome a guest (Bryn Etherington) who brought along the first track (Led Zeppelin - The Ocean) to enter the Rocky Road Show Hall of Fame. The show also featured the first listener voted Rocky Road Show Track of the Week (Black Sabbath - Paranoid) which will also enter the Hall of Fame. Voting for the next Track of the week has opened on purefm.geng.co.uk.

The show also featured the first ever spinning of the brand new Marshall Tucker Band release "Way out West! Live from San Francisco 1973" on air in the UK and I'm pleased to say that the Track "Ramblin'" went down very well with the people who bothered to contact me during and after the show.

This was a very long long day, in the cold, wind and rain. However myself, emma, anvita, james and edward attended and broadcast proceedings in association with Southamptons Surge Radio. (meanwhile back at HQ studio move was going to plan)

Below is myself Edward and James reporting on site

As Shrey said, it's now Sunday and we're heading into the final days of our build and currently the more technical bits are going in, such as krones, cabling and of course, straightening the desk!

Here's what the studios looked before (photos by Chris Yeoh):

Well here we are! It's Sunday and we hope that by the end of the day, Pure FM will be back on air!

So on Friday, we took the station off air after the exclusive coverage of Fee Fighters. Jason Slack, Laurence Moreton and myself were in the studio for the final ritual, and I have to admit that as cheesy as this sounds, it felt very awkward in the first few seconds after we "powered the studio down".

Yes, after months of planning and preparation, the big move from our current "Tower" into a shared complex with the rest of UPSU Media has officially begun!

We met at 6pm in the Waterhole bar, where Laurence, our station manager, led a quick briefing on the activities that were to come over the next couple of days. I'll try and explain the existing set up, but if you got any questions, then just ask away ;)

Pure FM currently broadcasts from one main studio, which is where our DJs present their shows from. There is however, a desk and soundboard (with mics etc) in our office, which functions as a second studio in the event of an emergency.

Last show in the old studio, which we didnt know at the time. Must have a minute silence on next show, which is not this weekend, but the next. I will miss it being crazily hot in there, only to open the window and have every police car in the city go past. Well, it is Portsmouth.

The set list is as follows;

Geraldine- Glasvegas (Dedicated to Jack's dad)
Boys are back in town-- Thin Lizzy
I love the chosen one- The mighty Boosh
Girls who play guitars- Maximo Park
One armed Scissor- At the drive in (that song has been a long time coming)
Decoy(live)- Paramore
Give a little bit- Supertramp (Jack's classic track of the week)
Clarity- NiXa (maida Vale session link)
For whom the bell tolls- Metallica
Sleeping sickness- City and Colour
Jocasta- Noah and the Whale
Last Night- The Strokes
Any way you want it- Journey
Send me on my way- Rusted Root

Next week.......well we havent planned it yet, but we will play some of the NiXa Maida Vale session, and whatever else we find. Some Buick McKane? Probably.
