Pure FM is currently internet based and we offer 3 different speeds to listen at. We recommend if you are using dial up, or low speed broadband, that you listen on the 32Kbps stream as this is likely to stream clearly for you. For higher speed users we offer 64Kbps and 160Kbps, the latter is only recommended if you have high speed broadband.

Having Problems?

Having problems listening to the stream? These are some common problems and ways you can fix them.

The stream keeps stopping and buffering.

Try changing down to a lower quality stream, this should be easier to load. If even at the lowest available quality the problems persists your connection may not be adequate for our service, if you have P2P programs running then closing these may help improve the playback.

The file won't load in my media player.

Try saving the file to your desktop and then opening it in your player rather than straight from the browser.
