The Committee

The Committee are the driving force behind Pure FM. As one of the main wings of UPSU Media, the station is managed by a team of dedicated volunteers who have been elected by members at the AGM!

	Station Manager - Laurence Moreton Having joined the station as Secretary in 2008, Laurence got elected as Station Manager in 2009. A man of ideas and innovation, he’s the one to talk to if you have any ideas or suggestions. All he asks in return is a nice cup of tea and maybe a chocolate biscuit!
	The Sabb - Tom Worman The Union's Media and Publications Sabbatical Officer - Our interface to the Union. Tom has spent the last three years at uni as the Official Union Photographer. You can often find him crying in a corner, taking photos of naked sportos!
	Station Secretary - Caroline Hendriks Caroline joined Pure FM in 2007 and has been involved in presenting her own show for several terms. Her role this year involves making sure the rest of the stations management committee are doing their jobs! Armed with a diary and a pen, she is the organisational backbone of Pure FM
	Marketing Manager - Kerry Leadbetter Kerry is a bundle of fun that suddenly appears usually with a pen or sticker ready to turn people into human marketing boards. After being in the background of Pure FM for a year she is now ready to take a more dominant role in the committee and get Pure FM known around Pompey. A busy little bee hiding away with a pint in one hand and a pen in the other, don’t forget to say hi when you see her at a social!
	Systems Manager - Shrey Puranik Shrey is extremely passionate about systems and technology so much so that having spent the year as part of the stations Tech Team and Outside Broadcasting Team, he got elected as Systems Manager. There's no I in Team, which is why Shrey also has a Technical Team to help him do all things technical! If you have any systems issues, then tech in touch!
	Equipment & Training Manager - Chris Yeoh A man of many talents, Chris joined us back in 2007 when he stood in for the then production manager for a small period of time. Fast forward 2 years and he’s back as Equipment and Training Manager ready to train the future of pure radio gold!
	Music Manager - Will Preston You won’t meet anyone else who’s as passionate about music as Will! He’ll listen to everything from yesterday’s tunes to music of tomorrow and he’s great fun at socials! He’s been in a band before but now flies solo as the stations Music Manager aided by his music team.
	Treasurer - Chris Bleach You may know him either as Chris or more commonly Bleachy! After spending a year working for a real company as part of his placement, members elected him as your treasurer, making him responsible for spending the money we have!
	Programming & Scheduling Manager - Edward Mula Edward may well remind you of your dad! He talks about the good old days and embarrasses you in front of your friends by boasting about his Dire Straits CD collection. As Scheduling & Personnel Manager Edward will take precious time out of his sleep to decide what content makes it onto the air and helps out members if they have any problems.
	Production Manager - Emma Corsham Emma is in charge of all the jingles, beds and other such noises. With bounds of enthusiasm and never short of ideas, she’s the person you want to see if you want a jingle or bed for your show! Responsible for our original sounding idents and promos, make sure you get in touch with her!
	Social Secretary - Gabriel Jeffery You'll never meet someone more like Boris Johnson, than meeting Gabriel. After spending the year as Training manager, members voted for him as their social secretary so watch out for some incredible socials over the next few months!
